Boyd off the post

He has come close so many times but still no goal as a Pred. Is tonight the night?

Great job by Wilson there!

Blocking a shot up high like that can turn into a great chance…

Wow 2 - 0

Another great play. Boyd gets his first point, yea!

he's looked pretty good tonight

I’ve been feeling for him. He’s been ringing the post lately. An assist will do for now

Can't let up...

They got the early lead on Philly and let them back in it….

and hopefully the refs will call a few against the opposition this time, too.

by BradPerala on Mar 18, 2010 8:32 PM EDT up reply actions

Ouch!!

The human bruise. Nice to see he hasn’t lost his way up north.

by jerseypredsfan on Mar 18, 2010 8:32 PM EDT reply actions

Good for Zanon getting his big contract, but Bouillon’s a fine replacement.

Rinne....

Rinne’s glove is looking as sharp as I’ve ever seen it. Really starting to show swagger.

by David Singleton on Mar 18, 2010 8:41 PM EDT reply actions

Maybe Harding thought he had trapped Wilson’s shot. Either way, looking good after the first.

hahahahahahaha I’ll take it

What's that old saying?

You make 100% of the shots you don’t miss?

Have been listening to the games...

…on the computer from FL hotel room (on vacation). Second game in a row in which the “listen” link at the Preds’ site keeps cutting out, and I’m having to listen from the Wild link (with their announcers). Just heard “…hard to come back from a three-goal deficit on the road!” Will admit that the first thing that popped into my head was “Yeah, well….” Hope he was right, though; have to love the win streak!

by LuvthePreds on Mar 18, 2010 8:47 PM EDT reply actions

i have had problems with that link before.but the web feed for 104.5 the zone usually works a lot better. but is sometimes buffered a bit.

by flyalder on Mar 18, 2010 8:54 PM EDT up reply actions

Have you tried 104.5’s website? You can listen there. Not sure if you’ll have the same problems though.

by jerseypredsfan on Mar 18, 2010 8:54 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah!

Sounds much better. The link at Wild’s site was cutting out a little, but not nearly as bad as at Preds.com. Also better than listening to Wild announcers.

by LuvthePreds on Mar 18, 2010 9:00 PM EDT up reply actions

checking in from section 118

Monster game so far. Now, if they’ll play 40 minutes of hockey, I’ll be happy. Wilson is insane good tonight.

by rusherman on Mar 18, 2010 9:00 PM EDT via mobile reply actions

for a second there

sully thought he saw kariya standing on the other side of that crease.

by flyalder on Mar 18, 2010 9:07 PM EDT reply actions

I love Tootoo...

but why does he always crumple to the ice when he feels the slightest tap?

by jerseypredsfan on Mar 18, 2010 9:12 PM EDT reply actions

Well, he is playing with a broken nose. That can’t be fun.

Harding robbed Bouillon

Great board work by Wilson and great pass to Bouillon though. Just a great save by Harding.

by David Singleton on Mar 18, 2010 9:21 PM EDT reply actions

legwand

that is why he doesn’t score. he doesn’t have a lot of offensive help. i wish boyd would take smithsons place.

by flyalder on Mar 18, 2010 9:34 PM EDT reply actions

Doubling 'em up in SOG

Thats a good sign, and the score reflects it.

by jerseypredsfan on Mar 18, 2010 9:43 PM EDT reply actions

this is weird

I clicked on the Wild’s SB Nation link to see what they were saying about the game. They had nice things to say about Dirk and the “On the Glass” people. Went back to cut and paste the comments here, but now, I can’t find them anywhere!

if only i had gone to the game.

by flyalder on Mar 18, 2010 10:08 PM EDT up reply actions

It’s definitely better for the heart. These are games that the Preds should win and it’s nice to see them doing it convincingly.

by jerseypredsfan on Mar 18, 2010 10:23 PM EDT up reply actions

Three Stars for me...

1. Colin Wilson
2. Pekka Rinne
3. Dustin Boyd

Just my opinion

by David Singleton on Mar 18, 2010 10:28 PM EDT reply actions

Rinne's back

(knock on wood) this is what this team needed. a game proving the goaltending quality, then a game proving team ability in offense and defense.

by flyalder on Mar 18, 2010 10:30 PM EDT reply actions

8 SOG against in the last 2 periods. Thats awesome

by jerseypredsfan on Mar 18, 2010 10:31 PM EDT up reply actions

ewwww

that’s going to be tough to do.

by flyalder on Mar 18, 2010 10:47 PM EDT up reply actions

if things ended now the Preds would face the Blackhawks in the first round. No thankyou. Go Chicago.

by jerseypredsfan on Mar 18, 2010 10:49 PM EDT up reply actions

yeah i don’t want that. but i hate rooting for central division teams…. if they just lose every game we might not have to.

did he say nhl teams?

or just teams? cause he has been on a lot of different hockey teams in his life time… just sayin’ maybe that was how he meant it

favre, jackson, rosenfels, the tooth fairy... i don't care, just give me a Super Bowl!

by 'foot on Mar 18, 2010 11:07 PM EDT up reply actions

He probably meant lots of different Preds teams

They’ve changed a lot over the last several years.

Legwand

I was lucky enough to sit right behind the bench tonight and Leggy went to the dressing room at about 3:00 remaining in the 3rd. I didn’t hear anything on the post-game radio show, and he was kinda limping around like it was a stinger.

Any news?

by BamaMuaddib on Mar 18, 2010 11:17 PM EDT reply actions

great game tonight!

when our skilled players are finishing we can be a dangerous team… too bad we don’t get to see it happen more often. : /

Game thoughts

Preds played really well tonight. AWE line was clicking. Toots line had some real action tonight. JP must have had his Wheaties, he was wheeling most of the night, which is good to see. D didn’t give up much, only 17 shots, so you know they were doing there job. Weber had the worst turnover of the night – right in front of Pekka. That must make Kleinhammer feel better. Wilson and Horny continue to impress. Boyd was outstanding. Leggy made some great plays and Ward was freaking superman out there. Let’s keep it going!!!
