Hump Day News: Is Central Parking gouging Nashville's hockey fans?

Strap yourselves in folks, and hang out in our NHL Trade Deadline Open Thread as we keep an eye on the festivities around the league today. Will either of Nashville's Dans (Hamhuis or Ellis) be traded today? Stay tuned for the 2:00 p.m. Central deadline, and likely another 30-45 minutes after that. NHL guidelines state that two teams involved in a deal have to submit it by the deadline, but the conference call to verify the deal may take place afterward, given the high volume of activity we're likely to see.

It sounds like Central Parking is gouging Predators fans by jacking up the price of parking now that construction on the Music City Center is underway. This is shameful.

Great Freeman Article at Nashville Post

Dirk, you missed one. This is a great article on Freeman. I just wish the ‘other’ paper would figure it out the way these guys have.

Wow, apparently when you hit the link button the link doesn’t get posted, but when you just post the link it’s fine.

Thanks for that

I tried to read it yesterday, but it said “subscribers only”.

Great old story about "Gordie Howe's surprise".....

I remember another Gordie Howe surprise I saw as a boy growing up in Hartford, CT, at a Whalers game. On his 50th B-day, they brought a rocking chair out to center ice and made him sit in it. With a lone spotlight on Howe in his rocking chair, the place went nuts. I was only 8 years old, but will never forget it.

Climer article....

Kudos to Climer. What he said in the article needed to be said. Well done (Still hate the Tennessean, though)
