Preds sign two draft picks to tryout contracts

Stay connected for news and updates

According to Admirals Short Shifts, the Nashville Predators have inked two of their draft picks to Amateur Tryout contracts (ATO's) for the purpose of them joining Milwaukee for the AHL playoffs.

No, Blake Geoffrion isn't one of them, though.

Charles-Oliver Roussel is a highly touted defenseman coming out of the QMJHL, and Michael Latta has been a rugged center for the Guelph Storm of the OHL (33 goals, 40 assists in 58 games, and led the team with 157 penalty minutes).

The signing of Latta makes me wonder a bit - will Taylor Beck also get similar treatment? He had a huge season (39 goals, 54 assists in 61 games) and led all OHL right wingers in scoring.
