GM David Poile working on re-signing his Preds

This afternoon, Preds GM David Poile joined the Thom Abraham Show (guest hosted by Paul McCann alongside Crazy Charlie today) to talk about the opening days of free agency and his to-do list for the summer (you can listen via the link below):

He did mention that working on a long-term contract extension for Shea Weber is a priority, but that it will wait until training camp so the negotiations can be conducted in person. He also touches on the negotiations with restricted free agents Patric Hornqvist, Cody Franson, and Sergei Kostitsyn, and drops a hint that he's close to announcing "something big" in the near future...

Good signing here by Poile. It will still be scoring by committee for the Preds and that’s fine. Lombardi helps.

Calgary wishes they had not traded him for Joikenen a couple of years ago and when you look at what they just signed Joikenen for again, this is a good signing.
