Cheap shot by Puck daddy

I understand that Nashville is not Toronto, Detroit or Vancouver and that sometimes former players take cheap shots and that we are ignored by the media. I realize that various hockey discussion forums across the internet are going to be full of people who don't really consider the Preds a viable hockey team nor Nashville a hockey town; however, Mr. Puck Daddy has committed a very serious offense against the fan base here by this comment. To imply that the team has no fans because hockey is still growing here only reinforces various stereotypes.

We have all seen the great amount of "journalism" that has been given to us by the Tennessean and the Canadian media about the impending doom of this team off the ice; however, being mocked as a fan base by a man who supposed to be prognosticating about on ice fortunes is offensive to me. I usually laugh at these people and recognize that Barry's boys will shut them up once again this year, but this one got to me for some reason.

Just Ignore the Shot

I can understand the hate from his comment but things like that shouldn’t really affect you. Any national media will continue to take pot shots at clubs such as Nashville because of the off ice issues. Whether it is dealing with ownership, ticket sales, or something else, the shots will keep coming.

As a fan, you just have to brush it off and continue to support the Preds. It isn’t easy to be the end of a joke but until most of the problems are solved, they’ll pop up. The best thing that can happen is for the Preds to go on a long playoff run while in the process find continuous fan support and sell out crowds.

It's Ryan Lambert...

Why does that name sound familiar? Ryan Lambert was the author of our post-season “roast” at Puck Daddy where while everyone else got a humorous “roast”, we were attacked left and right with out-dated, un-true stereotypes and some vicious insults.

Lambert also had us as a finalist for his “new” blog this season with Tampa Bay, thankfully we lost because he announced later that all he intends to do is mock the franchise in his blog this season…

Not worth even this many references, he is blissfully ignorant when it comes to Nashville and I doubt that will ever change.

His loss, not ours…
