RALEIGH NC - JANUARY 28: Shea Weber of the Nashville Predator answers questions sduring NHL All Star Player Media Availability apart of the 2011 NHL All-Star Weekend at the Raleigh Convention Center on January 28 2011 in Raleigh North Carolina. (Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)
We were down in Nashville once, he took a clapper [sic] from right between the dots, it almost took my head off. It hit the glass before I moved... so happy it missed my head. - Montreal goaltender Carey Price, talking to Tim Thomas about Shea Weber's legendary shot.
Nashville Predators captain Shea Weber was chosen with the 8th overall pick in tonight's NHL All-Star Fantasy Draft by Team Lidstrom, which may give him the opportunity to play alongside either Nicklas Lidstrom or Chicago's Duncan Keith.
The interesting bit is that since he was chosen immediately after Boston's Zdeno Chara, we should be treated to another dream matchup in tomorrow night's skills competition, as both blueliners stand above the rest of the league when it comes to the Hardest Slap Shot.
The full draft results are available at NHL.com. For my money, I'm taking Team Lidstrom in a rout on Sunday!
