Sunday's notes: Stu Grimson gets his apology from Don Cherry
This morning's notes feature former Predators leading their teams to victory last night as part of a busy NHL schedule, the story behind the 1st period scrap between Brian McGrattan and Cam Janssen, and in a surprising move, a full, 100% apology by Don Cherry to Stu Grimson and the two other enforcers whom he criticized on Coach's Corner on Opening Night...

McGrattan Finds a Familiar Dance Partner in Preds Loss | PuckScene.com
Patten thoroughly breaks down the sideshow that was the McGrattan-Janssen fight last night. I know it entertained the fans, but that was a perfect example of just how enforcers are separated from the general flow of a game. McGrattan and Janssen exchanged words on earlier shifts leading up to that fight, it was only a matter of when, not if, they would drop the gloves.

good to see
that rant of his was so out of line. especially considering the tragic losses that hockey has suffered this summer. even though he thought he was calling out those former enforcers for being hypocrites, he was really disrespecting the memories and the families of those that have lost their lives and have had to suffer with the difficulties that brain trauma brings.
give him credit for realizing he was wrong, but it would have looked a little more genuine if he wasn’t looking away from the camera when he was explaining his feelings regarding those 3 guys. And did he acknowledge the difficulties that these guys suffer with?
anyways, i’m glad he at least manned up and apologized for that display of ignorance.
Where's Dirk's scathing review of last nights game?

Not quite scathing, but deeply concerned
