Question about Comcast's Center Ice schedule for this year
Does anyone know how many Preds games will be shown on Center Ice that are not to be on TV elsewhere? Will tonight's game be shown? I don't want to re-subscribe only to find that most of the Preds games are blacked out... I apologize in advance if someone has already posted this information and I missed it.

I believe that unless it’s a game that neither team is broadcasting at all, you should get Preds games on Center Ice if FS-TN isn’t showing them.
Tonight’s game against Washington is on FS-TN, however, so you should be OK regardless.

I just now saw that Tweeted so felt silly for posting this. I think this is a change, though: when I checked on predators.nhl.com, it just had the link to click to listen on the radio. I think that last year, whenever you checked the upcoming game, it included info. on the main page as to whether it was on TV.
At any rate, at least it is on tonight, and thanks for the info. that they shouldn’t be doing blackouts.
The only blackouts will be those that are mandated by the Preds or FOX
Comcast dos not choose to do blackouts, it gets told to.

Isn't the real question here
does CI (or GCL) black out any games that we also can’t get on local tv?
since I paid $160 to watch the Bolts this season, I’d like to know whether I can watch the Preds there when I need to.

I don’t think blackouts on Center Ice are ever a concern, are they?
GameCenter Live is triggered by your current location. So typically if you’re in the Nashville area, you can’t watch Preds games. But if you’re in Florida, you can.

One of the Preds home games was blacked out on Center Ice during the free preview on Comcast, even though it wasn’t being broadcast locally.

I think that was an error, I remember hearing about that. I had an email back & forth with the team’s broadcasting director, and the plan is to lift those blackouts.

I’ve always found this information to be frustrating as well. I live in the Indianapolis area, so there is no local hockey broadcast. However, during previews, the games in Chicago, Detroit, and Columbus would frequently be blacked out. Since that is the majority of the Preds schedule, I found it difficult to pay for the service.
Hopefully you get the information you’re looking for. I have U-verse now anyway, so I’m not even sure Center Ice is available….

In your situation, GameCenter Live might be a better bet, at least for Preds games. It’s a pretty incredible platform for watching games.
