The game was a classic
The atmosphere at Bridgestone Arena really was electric, full of rollercoastering emotional play punctuated with a terrific tribute to Joel Ward and the first TV timeout standing ovation of the season. And the last 4:56 was one of the finest moments in hockey history here. What a night at the barn!

Here's to always
pronouncing Vokoun with extra “oh’s”. Still nice to send them home with an L.
It seems the Caps are pretty frustrated with the dip after starting out so hot. They still look strong as hell to me though. I think they are going to be duking it out with Philly for the East this year (maybe with a little NYR mixed in if they can keep that train rolling).
Leaving the Penguins out of the mix, are you? Right now I’d go with the Pens to win th east, especially considering how good they’ve been without Crosby in the lineup.
Defense keeps you in games........offense wins them!

Not to dismiss them at all at this point. They just don’t look as dominating in play as PHI and NYR have to me. Admittedly, I have only watched the odd eastern Conference team play a couple of times, mostly in spurts, but I just don’t think PIT will be able to drag-race their way past the top teams consistently. PHI, NYR, and the Caps all seem to have the ability to suck the life right out of the other team when they get rolling. I haven’t seen that at all from the Pens.

It’s so weird to hear Pete say, “Good save by Vokouuuun!” I haven’t heard him say that in YEARS!

Yes!
I really do miss that guy. He was awesome for us. It’s indescribably awesome to have Pekka now but I was extremely bummed when was traded.

Same here
The Great Purge saw a lot of my favorites leave the team, but I can’t fault Poile for it.
It was nice to see Vokoun and Ward still doing what they do well.
Brett Wilson - FINALLY!
It’s official folks. He’s an owner.
Yaaaaay!! Now to get some other signatures down on the proper pages.
R.I.P. Belak, Rypien, Boogaard, Lokomotiv.
Part Predator, part Lightning.

Exactly
Mr. Suter? Mr. Weber? Please sign on the dotted line. That will be all!
EXCITEMENT!!!!!
More specifically though, what’s the deal with this guy? Do we have lots of money now?

On another subject
Cody Franson also enters the lineup to face his former team after sitting as a healthy scratch for all but four games this season and having his name circulating widely in trade rumours.
