As first tweeted by Josh Cooper (and since confirmed by the team, and the NHL), the Nashville Predators have recalled forward Kyle Wilson in time for tonight's game at Calgary. So far in 17 games with the Admirals, Wilson has 4 goals and 9 assists, along with a +4 Plus/Minus.
Wilson was among a number of free agents I profiled over the summer as having promising potential to help address the Preds' issues, as he put up reasonably impressive results in 32 games for Columbus last season. He signed a two-year contract with the Predators over the summer, with this year being a two-way contract, and next year's being one-way, with both years paying $550K at the NHL level.
And to boot, the guy holds a degree in Physics from Colgate. Get to work on all those Big Bang Theory quips for tonight's Game Thread, folks...
