NHL 12 PS3 EASHL Preds Team?

Hey guys, this is Dan

I thought it might be cool if Preds fans could get together and play some games as a team this year on the PS3 version of NHL 12. The EA Sports Hockey League, if you've never played it, is very fun if you get the right guys together who play their assignments responsibly and can shoot the breeze in between faceoffs about their favorite team.

We may not end up being a powerhouse, but we certainly want to have fun, be competitive, and represent our fan base with pride!

If you're interested, shoot me your PSN ID, and I'll see what we can do to assemble a team. I'm sure there are some like-minded gamers out there.

Yeah, I miss the old times. We had a great group on 360. I decided to replace the Xbox with a PS3 just becuase it’s versatile and has free online play. I was thinking of texting you just in case you’d happened to pick one up, too!

fyi, this would be my first time actually playing online...

But I only play BAP, so that should help.

I mostly play as a LW powerforward in BAP. I can also run as a 2-way center and an offensive defenseman (I can’t recall which side I prefer, but I am a right handed shot). I may be a little rusty on defense. In terms of preference coming into this with no online experience I would say 1. LW 2. D 3. C

I’ll send you an invite when I get home this evening. So far the Smashville Forecheckers are 3-2 and we’ve got a good group of guys. I try to be on when I can, but ever since the wife discovered they have Dawson’s Tree (or whetever it’s called) on Netflix it’s a battle royale for that controller :)

That aside – I did this on the 360 last year, and it’s essentially the same, except XBox Live is MUCH better for messaging friends and sending invites to games.

To be brief, up to 6 people at a time on a team can take control of one player/position on the ice, whom they control for the entirety of the game. They compete as a team in seasons (lasting one month) to determine playoff seeding and then compete in playoff tournaments across North America. It’s pretty sweet, and more fun to do this with like-minded Preds fans.
