Blake Geoffrion placed on Injured Reserve
Following that hard hit delivered by Ryan Jones in Edmonton, Blake Geoffrion has been put on Injured Reserve by the Nashville Predators, as first noted on Twitter by Tom Callahan and confirmed with the NHL. That transaction opens up the roster spot for Teemu Laakso, who has been activated from IR and put on waivers by the team.
Geoffrion took the hit in Monday's game, and now must miss at least 7 days, so the earliest we'd see him back in action would be Tuesday when the Phoenix Coyotes come to Nashville.

Well surely they knew that was going to happen so why was Laakso put on waivers?
"I am you, you are me, and we are all together" Beatles
I would assume he means to send him back to Milwaukee because we don’t need 8 defensemen, and like Vols said, call up a forward.
Our #30 cap hit needs to be adhered to…….Laakso had to walk that plank! :D
Defense keeps you in games........offense wins them!

Looks like your prediction of Laakso to the roster are not too accurate.
What gives? This post was AFTER the Laakso to waivers post.
Am I missing something?

Really unfortunate for Blake. If they had sent him down 5 games ago when he was being scratched he could be getting strong minutes.
Always very confusing to me why he was still up when spaling fish & legs were all healthy. Imo his development is far more important than guys like kyle Wilson & mueller. Having them play Geoff’s minimal minutes in Nashville while he gets heavy minutes in Milwaukee makes more long term sense. No?

Looks like the Preds found their 7 defensemen.
I wonder if Bouillon sits when he gets healthy. The 6 out there look pretty good and are playing much better than when Bouillon was paired with Klein.
How bout benching Hillen?
He hasn’t impressed me much.
Weber-Suter
Klein-Outlaw
Blum-Frankie

Weber-Cube didn’t work last season…I think if you were to split up the Wonder Twins:
Weber-Blum
Suter-Josi
Klein-Cube
SK74
Benched for lack of production, injured, or a personal day? (Or has that info. been released?)

No big loss there. He has been virtually invisible since the start of the playoffs last season. Very disappointing.

Also, Trotz laying down some hard lines as well:
patersonjeff Jeff Paterson
Preds Trotz: “morning skates are no longer optional. They’re mandatory now b/c too many of our games were becoming optional”
Who Is @FakeLinback?
Silly Mr Coach Barry! Of course skates aren’t optional. You have to have skates to play on ice. Sometimes he’s funny!!
Too funny.
