We have analysis on two recent assignments to Milwaukee by the Predators, a comedic preview of tonight's most-anticipated game on the NHL schedule, and of course, the launch of "Philadelphia should trade for one of Nashville's premier defensemen" speculation in light of Chris Pronger being shut down for the rest of the season.
So fill up that cup of coffee and get reading!

Has there been any word on Suter’s contract negotiations? I remember his agent being in town.
I’m assuming nothing was really accomplished since we didn’t hear anything.
His agent was in town a few weeks ago
Nice words were given to the press about both sides talking and wanting to get something done, but until we see a contract signed, I don’t ascribe much to such things.

I’m not surprised about the Flyers rumors, but do they have anyone on their roster we’d want, besides Giroux or possibly Hartnell? It just doesn’t seem like they’d have much to offer, considering that we’d end up just in the same hole they’re in (needing a defensemen) and their best scorer is out with a concussion.
True, I didn’t see him. They’d have to add in some draft picks, though, at least.

Couturier and Schenn+picks
If you’re trading 6 or 20, you can’t pass up on an opportunity to set yourself up for the next 5 years with these guys.
I could live with it.

The problem with that deal is, it would leave us under the cap floor by about 2M or more. Highly doubt the Flyers would part with both of those kids anyhow. Would be a great return though.
I saw Darren Dreger throw the “Flyers will trade with Nashville” rumor out there on NHLN last night and just went “here we go again”. :/

I believe
most teams are going to scoff at the premium required to acquire Suter or Weber. If I had to take a guess, I’d say an elite forward and 1st round draft pick minimum to get either of these guys… contract situation be damned.
hockey connoisseur. t-shirt addict. not famous. nerd.
radulov
I spoke to his cousin last week he said radulov will play for the preds next year1
Is Rads cousin the same source for the Suter to Philly rumor?
You know, there is a place called HockeyBuzz where unfounded rumors are welcomed and even encouraged.

rads
his cousin live in nashville, he goes to a lot of preds games. he is friends with sergei
And yet another NHL coach gets the axe!
Martin out in Montreal, Cunneyworth in. Always liked Cunney when he was with the Penguins, tough as nails player with a good scoring touch.
I’m noticing a trend of coaches who empahisis defense over offense getting the boot this season (Murray, Martin, Maurice, Boudreau). Watch out, Trotzy! LOL! (Just kidding). :)

Somehow, I don't doubt that Milbury assaulted a kid.
That dude is a total butt-wipe. (Doesn’t sound as good as the original, but oh well.)
