Nashville Predators send Chris Mueller to Milwaukee
This press release comes from the Nashville Predators:
Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has reassigned forward Chris Mueller (KRIHS MEW-luhr) to Milwaukee (AHL).
Mueller, 25 (3/6/86), suited up for two games during his six-day recall, going pointless. He returns to Milwaukee where he leads the team in points (9g-8a-17pts) and is tied for the team lead in goals in 19 games.
It's possible that this move is being made to clear room for Blake Geoffrion to come off Injured Reserve, as it reduces the current Active Roster to 22, one less than the NHL maximum. Geoffrion went on IR after taking a hard shoulder-to-shoulder hit from Ryan Jones in a game against Edmonton on November 28.

He didn't record any points
but I thought he played pretty well. He got a couple of chances and hustled after the puck. I wonder what the reasoning is sending him down when we still have one active roster spot open…
Regaining our vaunted 30th position in team cap hit is of utmost importance…….down you go, Mr. Mueller! :D
Defense keeps you in games........offense wins them!

Think Mueller will go the way of Pevs, Jones, Santorelli? I get the feeling like this is inevitable.
More than likely. Not like there’s a permanent spot for another 4th liner here anyway.

Yeah, I don’t like this at all. He deserves a better shot than he’s getting. I think he is definitely gone next year and excels wherever he lands. What are they keeping Kyle Wilson up here for? All I have noticed him doing is shooting the puck wide.
he whiffed once too. don’t forget that
60% of the time it works every time

Ha-can’t tell if you are being sarcastic. I understand he has made mistakes. My point was that it seems after his mistakes, he immediately gets sent down. Others make mistakes or are invisible and they stay put and are given chances to redeem themselves. I shouldn’t be complaining-I live in Milwaukee and saw him score the winning goal in the Ads shoot-out last night. I just would like to see him get a real shot as I have become a big fan of his up here.
