OtF Viewing Party at VILLAGE PUB in East Nasty, Feb 26th (new thread)
Hey guys, since the weather decided to be un-cooperative we're rescheduling the 1st ever OtF viewing bonanza. Saturday afternoon, Feb 26th (1:00 p.m. start), against those anthem butchering slobs in Dallas. Same place, since it's the top vote recipient of our options. I would expect a fairly packed place, which should be fun.
Get your blue on, get out, and join some other rowdies.
Village Pub owner Jesse was awesome in an earlier phone conversation. Happy hour runs 4 to 7, and expect a “loud, vocal crowd”. He advised to be there before 6. "WE ARE the East Nashville Preds HQ. We draw good crowds for all road games" (Why am I just now hearing about this?)
East Nashville isn't close to everyone, so there will be other meetups in the future. Johnathan's in Brentwood/Cool Springs has a nice back game room, and was very receptive to the thought of having us there.
Village Pub is off McGavock by Riverside Dr.

Also, if you west of Nashville folks would like to venture out, I'm heading to Dickson (yeah, I'm a masochist) for the Columbus game on the 22nd at O'Charley's. Feel free to join, and defend me from the people upside there's one tv not showing college basketball. O'Charley's in Dickson is right off I-40 by exit 172.

Good deal
You should probably go back and edit the headline of the original post so people don’t get lost.

sweet
I think I’m in for this one. But isn’t the game on the 26th at 1PM? Is the Pub open that early? Just double-checking

Good question...
looks like the answer is yes:
Hours:
Mon-Thu 4 pm – 12 am
Fri-Sat 11:30 am – 1 am
Sun 11:30 am – 12 am
Smoking is not allowed inside but is allowed on their porch. I think it’s 21 and up.

Looking for some love
After more than a decade as a die-hard Thrashers fan, I’m done with them. They are too disfunctional. I live in Huntsville, Al., and I am now turning my attention nad affections toward the Preds. Just thoguht I’d say “hello.” Also, can someone post lines and pairings for me? I’ve been trying to follow, but it’s easier for me to learn them if I have them in front of me.
1. You can still be a Thrashers fan. Most of us want to see hockey succeed in the South. Nashville has had our share of problems and uncertainty too.
2. With that said, WELCOME. You found the mecca of PredsNation.
Both are on the front page, on the left side.
Seriously, I could coordinate the super bowl game ops better.

Also, check out Dirk’s video today. He talked about the most recent pairing and lines.

I work till 2 on Saturdays
I can be there…eh…it’ll be tough. I can get there for some of it probably.
Dirk says that to move this thread to the top
…we need to rec this one and unrec the other one (if you were one of the ones to rec the old thread about the viewing party that got snowed out).
Pub
At the beginning of the year, my friends and I had the Pub to ourselves to watch the Predators games. Now we have to get there quite early to grab a decent seat.
Considering the game starts at 1...
You’ll probably want to be there considerably earlier than 4.

The google street view makes it look like its in sombody's garage.
Or is it the building next to the house?
I'll be there!
Still don’t have cable at the house (install scheduled for next Saturday), so I need a place to watch Blake Geoffrion’s debut and figured hanging out with a gaggle of Predators fans wouldn’t be the worst location to do so!

It seems like this version of the meet-up is getting less attention from OTF
At the same time, I would like a seat, as I’ll be getting there late, so maybe a smaller turnout won’t be such a bad thing? I don’t know, but I should be there, as long as my lovely wife gives the okay. (she runs things in my house, I cannot lie.)
So far I count…
“Going to the hard areas”: me, Seth Lake, preds4ever, Boom Boom Belak, LuvthePreds (+2), and I would assume Youarethegovt.
“Upper-body injury”: BradPerala,
IR: Chris Burton
I hope to be there
I’ve got a wife with a sprained knee and kids going to a birthday party, but hopefully I can make it out.

Scratch that
Ain’t gonna happen, unfortunately. Saturday afternoons are tough when you’ve got kids.

I am participating in the morning skate and am listed as probable
I expect my ice time to be limited.
Haha yeah, I was using it as the probable/questionable category.
Also I was thinking of listing “Grebeshkov’d”, but thought better of it. ;)
Actually, the place is indeed 21+, and since I can’t bring my two teenagers, I’ll wait for the next one. My son spent the night with someone last night, so I’d hate to take off for the afternoon right after he gets home.
Have fun!

Smaller crowd, but it was great to meet the folks there!
Wish we would have won, but had a good time nonetheless getting together and talking about the team, the game, and a variety of other things with those in attendance.
Looking forward to the next get together! ;-)

I'm sorry I couldn't make it
Family duties kept me at home this afternoon, I’d really like to try again sometime in March.

Yeah good to meet ya dude.
I didn’t catch your name at first (it was kind loudish) but its good to put a name to a face.
Next one I’m working on to be at Johnathan’s in Brentwood/Cool Springs. They have a back room that’s very awesome, no age restrictions, and some great food.
What game would work best? taking suggestions… a midweek game would be fair.

Interestingly, there really aren't many choices...
…unless it’s thrown together for the first week of March; only three away games after March 8. I vote for the Sabres game (Sunday afternoon at 4). The game against the Avs on the 31st starts at 8 on a weeknight. There’s a group going to the STL game, so that could affect attendance negatively.

And it is, indeed, a dangerous city.
I used to live there, but got out while the getting was good.
I’m still deciding whether to go, but if we do, we’re not going on the bus, as I want to make a weekend of it and see family that still lives there.

If we ever decide to go to Detroit...
….we’ll need to hire security…
