Recap: February 14th 5 points anticipated. Actual points obtained 3.
The depth of good teams caught up to the Preds last week, 1-1-1 was the final tally. A thrilling Thursday night win over the Vancouver Canucks. The top team in the league. Sandwiched between two losses to other quality teams in the conference. No easy games in the Western conference. Eight points only seperates fourth place from twelve place. Also five teams tied at sixty-eight points not a good time to have losing streak past one game. Nashville has four games this week. Columbus on the road Tuesday night and Chicago at Bridgestone on Thursday. A weekend away and home back to back against Dallas and Columbus. Both of those games are midday games. A January 2nd midday game required a Coach Trotz verbal beatdown to get the team going during the intermission between first and second period. Hopefully Coach Trotz won't have to push that button this weekend.
The final western canada road trip of the season is next week. Nashville needs to get every point they can this week. My motto as a fan is NO REGULATION LOSSES this week. My motto is confirmed with the post game press conference by Coach Trotz. He was lamenting not getting the Phoenix game to overtime and getting one point Saturday night.
Points anticipated this week 5
Keep Columbus and Chicago on the outside the top eight.
