Just wondering
But is there ANY schedule, or anything at all , which indicates if the Pred’s will wear their regular home or Alternate 3rd Jersey’s before a game ?
yes, but
I believe that schedule is only available to the media.
FWIW, the Preds are wearing the road whites tonight.

I don’t know either. Either the Preds requested it or Chicago requested to wear reds, which is more likely.

I think most of the Saturday games are third jersey days and weekdays are regular home. Someone correct me if i am wrong
Also, I find it interesting that the theme is “get rid of red” when I saw that we are wearing our white away jerseys tonight, which i guess would mean Chicago is wearing reds.

Thanks
everyone – makes a bit more sense now. WIll be strange, watching the Pred’s in the road whites tonight… But who cares, as long as they beat the Hawks in regulation !
The Reason for the Red
First, the last two games were on weekends. It’s a pretty inexpensive jaunt on Southwest if you want to catch a Chicago team in Nashville. As for the last time, there were a bunch of youth teams from Chicago in the area that day. That’s why there were so many Chicago fans in the house.
The way the Predators get rid of the red is by winning. These people are bandwagoners and Nashville is full of exactly that. Bandwagoners. You see them everywhere. UT fans at Vandy football and women’s basketball games. They’re not as prominent at Vandy men’s games because there’s a 50/50 chance Vandy will win.
Titans fans wearing Steelers jerseys just for that one game. Pred Wing fans etc. When the Preds become a true winner, our barn will be filled with blue and gold. Period!
Not in this economy!!!
As long as someone is willing to pay money to see their team. Somebody will be willing to sell them. I just think their is alot of opportunistic ticketholders who sell their tickets at inflated prices to premium games in this area.
I completely agree that the Blackhawks have a lot more fans than they did last year.
I mean, the shiny newness of their jerseys are practically blinding. That being said, I disagree that Nashville is somehow a bandwagon town, especially given your examples. If Vandy kids don’t want to show up to Vandy games, that’s their problem, not Nashville’s. And what Titans’ “fan” owns and wears a Steelers’ jersey? As for so-called “Predwings”, their numbers are directly related to the amount of transplanted auto industry workers in the area and dwindling, in my estimation. Indeed, there were the fewest Detroit fans I had ever seen the last time we played them at the Bridge. Overall, I think we as a fanbase have done an excellent job filling our barn with blue and gold. The voraciousness of people who so desperately want to say they were fans all along is just a tough thing to counter.

You obviously don’t go to many Titans games. I’m a season ticket holder, and when teams like Pittsburgh come to town, other season ticket holders around me wear those teams jerseys. These are people who wear Titans jerseys the rest of the season.
Pred Wing fans may be transplanted from Michigan, but the reason they hold onto the Wings jerseys is because the Preds don’t beat them on a regular basis. There was a small stretch two years ago when the Preds started to win games against Detroit, and THAT was the least amount of Red Wings fans there have ever been in the stands. It was especially noticeable in the playoffs. The last time the Wings were here you probably noticed less fans because they changed jerseys between periods. No joke.
I’m not from Nashville. I’ve lived outside of the state of Tennessee and Nashville is one of the biggest bandwagon markets I’ve ever seen. Go to a ‘sold out’ Titans game and take a look at all the empty seats when they’re not doing well.
As for ‘opportunistic fans’, when was the last time anyone was able to overvalue a Preds ticket and sell it. The guys on the street sell tickets for $10. A friend of mine just got lower bowl seats for tonight’s game for $25 from StubHub. Sorry, not buying that.
I know UT and Kentucky graduates....
Who buy the package of Vandy games to see either UT or Kentucky game. Also this year the Steeler game tickets were going 35-50 bucks above face on Stubhub to sit in the upper deck. I know because my brother a Steeler fan who lives in Memphis asked me to hook him up on some tickets. Which I did 10 dollars above face. Titans games sell out before the season starts. If the fan can’t sell them or it is too cold for them to go to the game the seat just sit empty. It has been that way even when the team is winning. There was a market for Predator tickets during the Paul K years. The last Red Wing game I went to there were plenty of Wings fans around me and they didn’t change their jersey.
Well I went to 5 Titans' games last year...
Maybe you just sit in a section with a bunch of candy-asses. Also, the reason people from Michigan hold onto their Red Wings jerseys is because THEY ARE FROM MICHIGAN. I have been to 3 of the last 4 playoff games here between the Preds and the Red Wings, and on all three occasions, Preds’ fans dwarfed Red Wings’ fans, numbers-wise. And the last time the Red Wings were here, I noticed fewer of them because there were fewer of them, your revelatory jersey-switching theory notwithstanding.

And I'm From California
But I don’t wear my Kings or Ducks jerseys to Preds games. Preds fans will always dwarf other team’s fans in their own arena, just as Titans fans will dwarf other teams fans in their stadium. That doesn’t mean there isn’t a ton of bandwagoning in this town. Anyone who claims that is in absolute denial.
I will give you this
You have a gift for making bold claims and backing them up with little to no evidence. Kudos.

You from California.....
I hope not from LA…… that isn’t a front runner/bandwagon city I don’t know what is. I.E. Lakers/Dodgers/Southern Cal fans. Give me a break. Show up late/ Leave early. OUT!
I personally like it when
The visiting team has alot of fans in the stands. It has a collegiate feel in Bridgestone. I have been to several UT v Florida, Georgia, Bama games. The smack talk, the cheering back and forth. Plus the look of disappointment and disgust when the visiting team loses. It is just more enjoyable. Also the Preds needs every sell out they can get. Vancouver drew over 15000 on a Thursday night. An improvement but a sell out would have been better. The more sell outs the hotter and harder the ticket becomes. Saturday night shouldn’t be the only night they sell out. Tuesday and Thursday night game needs to sell out too. So far this year they have had 10 sellouts, 7 on Saturday night and 2 on Thursday and 1 on a Tuesday.
Thursday's Game
Well I am looking to sell my tickets for tonight! I have two club level seats in sec 203. I would really like to sell them to a Preds fan instead of a scapler who might sell them to a Hawks fan. jdsmith_81@yahoo.com is my email if you would be interested. Need to put as many blue and gold jerseys as possible.
