Six Special Predators Fans in Sold-Out Bridgestone Arena

Here's the follow-up to the ticket giveaway that OTF reader Hockey Hillbilly ran this week, for those of you who were curious. Congratulations go out to all six of these folks (and special best wishes to the happy couple, Andrew & Madison!), and a huge Thank You goes out to Hockey Hillbilly, for reminding us how special the fan base is here in Nashville, it really is like a giant family at times. - Dirk

Six fans attended Thursday's Predators-Blackhawks game as guests of On the Forecheck readers and made their voices heard among the 17,113 at Bridgestone Arena.

Andrew Rickard, also known as horny27, drove through driving rain from Knoxville with his girlfriend Madison Casey.  By the first intermission Andrew had  withdrawn the engagement ring that had been burning a hole in his pocket and persuaded Ms. Casey to become Ms. Rickard--with the option of remaining Ms. Casey, if she chooses, as long as they just get married.  They are planning on an October wedding.

Tiffany and David Caperton ignored the storms to bring their son Kyle to the game from Lawrenceburg as a special reward for staying strong through three open heart surgeries in his first four years with the prospect of more procedures to come.  Kyle received an autographed picture from his Predators hero J.P. Dumont.

Jerry Stewart, who writes as HoptownPred, drove rain-slickened I-24 from Hopkinsville, KY, as a guest of Dan Bradley, who is known to OtF regulars and readers of his blog as Excellence through Guesswork.  In return for the gesture Jerry made a contribution of $50.00 to the Monroe Carell Jr.Childrens Hospital at Vanderbilt.

A word of thanks here to On the Forecheck for providing a way for these Predators fans determined to see their team in action through hell or high water--both of which, incidentally, threatened Nashville during the course of the evening.

That’s not your section….

Man, this is just cool...

…this certainly lightens my sour mood after my multiple profanity-laden tirades both at, and after, the game.

I’m so happy to see our community be exactly that, a community. Special thanks to Hockey Hillbilly and, of course, Dirk.

The Rickard/Casey show..

Now that is a show I will continue to watch weekly and love the re-runs of. Those two will never get a penalty for icing.
