"What? I just got here!"

In a move that could have been expected given the fact that Kevin Klein was able to play last night, the Nashville Predators have sent defenseman Teemu Laakso back to the Milwaukee Admirals. This, from the team:

Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has reassigned defenseman Teemu Laakso (TEE-moo LAK-soh) to Milwaukee (AHL). Laakso was recalled under emergency conditions, and had to be returned when the six current defensemen on the Nashville roster dressed for Thursday's game.

Laakso, 23 (8/27/87), did not appear in the Predators lineup during his one-day recall. He returns to the Admirals where he has 22 points (3g-19a) in 58 games, in addition to ranking among the defensive league leaders in plus/minus rating (+16).

Klein skated 19:20 last night and looked pretty effective, so he would appear to be OK going forward, as the Preds prepare to host the Colorado Avalanche Saturday night.

FYI, the note about "emergency conditions" is an important one, because after the Trade Deadline teams are only allowed to make 4 callups from the AHL that aren't for emergency purposes.
