The word has come down, and Nashville Predators winger Patric Hornqvist will not be suspended by the NHL for an elbow to the head of Boston's Tyler Seguin in last night's 4-3 overtime win. At the time, Hornqvist received a major and a game misconduct for the hit. This would have been Hornqvist's 1st NHL suspension. Instead, he's getting a $2500 fine from the league.
According to Pierre LeBrun, Mike Murphy handled this hearing instead of Colin Campbell, due to the fact that Colin's son, Greg, plays for the Bruins.
