Might not want to get used to this – Datsyuk and Howard, iirc, are back on Saturday.
"Nothing." - Tuukka Rask, after being asked what he saw on Shea Weber's game winner in overtime.
Yeah, but we’ve got to revel in it while it lasts. : )

yes yes yes go Flames
best if it’s in regulation, but at this point, it doesn’t particularly matter. The Flames are done, most likely.

Detroit just needs a touchdown
and a Jason Hansen extra point

And it was a game ’til the ENG.
Not that we’ve never had a game like that, but still.
Actually, that’s an interesting question. I’ve been at two game at which the Preds had seven goals scored on them, but has it ever gone to double digits?

Interesting tidbit I found looking for the answer to that. Everyone knows we are best against CBJ all time.
Who are we worst against? It surprised me: the Dallas Stars. 19-27-1-1
Huh. Surprises me, too.
And I guess the 6-1 game against the Kings is one of the ones I’m thinking of. ATL scored 7 on us a couple of years ago. My son and his friend pulled their stocking caps down over their faces, and the fans booed the team as they left the ice.

I'm looking at hockeyreference.com.
We lost 0-8 to Philly in the inaugural season.
(Heads back to site).

Cool…I can quit looking. Was up to 06-07, in which ’Hawks scored 8 on us (but we scored 6 on them…a goal-fest.)

Actually, I have to see how many times we’ve had 8 scored on us. Found #3: Buffalo in Feb. of ’08.

Minnesota in April of ‘09. I don’t remember that at all.

Oh, yes I do.
Last game of the season. It was ugly. Killed our playoff chances.

Sharks last year, 8 on us, but we scored 5,
by LuvthePreds on Mar 30, 2011 11:02 PM EDT up reply actions
That is all.
Philly, Chicago, Buffalo, Minnesota and San Jose each scored 8 on us (one time each).

It's hard to tell which post you're responding to...
…you were at the game in CO? Did you go out specifically for that game? If so, that had to be a bummer.

Oh, yeah,
I meant MN. I clearly should go to bed.
Nah.

It says a lot about the western conference and the NW division
that the Flames are in 2nd in that division…

Wings got their feathers plucked!
That’s the good (and funny) part! But after the chewing out they’re gonna get after the game from Babcock, they might not be a pleasant team to play on Saturday night.

I don’t find Detroit to ever be a pleasant team to play against :)

4 times this season they’ve been pleasant to play against. :D

May we soon make it 5. It’s a nice number. Four fingers and a thumb, each for a win.
Best they could do is make it a 4-2 series. I’m not going to look it up, but I’m guessing it’ll be our best record against them if we also win on Saturday.

How lucky were we to get Hiller for his 10min rehab show the other night! Amazing how Emery has come back the way he has. I certainly didn’t think he’d ever play in the NHL again let alone play this well. Ducks GM might be deserving of GM of the year for the moves he’s made this season.

And with that empty net goal by Perry, I think the Flames season just got extinguished (couldn’t resist that!). :D
We just have to beat out one more team now to make the playoffs…..sounds easy at least.

I was at hockey-reference.com, looking at our remaining games. There were links to Stub Hub for tickets to those games. You can pay a cool $9999.00 for a ticket to the last game of the season, in STL. I clicked on it, thinking that was unbelievably steep, even for a suite. It’s upper arena tickets:
Think someone forgot a decimal point?
Silly Blues fans.
Man the preds are really starting to get a following
with ticket prices like that when they visit other teams
