It’s interesting that Randy Carlyle didn’t go through the line, only one assistant (looks like Dave Farrish) did.

You must have missed the sign out there that said “Must have this much class to ride”

There's only two kinds of teams in the NHL: Predators and prey.

by Predanooga on Apr 26, 2011 11:41 AM EDT up reply actions

How embarrassing that must have been for the players who do have class…

Wait, is it possible that he came to the end of the line after the time that the video ends?

by LuvthePreds on Apr 26, 2011 12:00 PM EDT up reply actions

I'm hoping...

Because the rest of the Ducks appeared to know when to just leave it on the ice…Corey Perry was the first one in line…

no such luck.

I have a few minutes of video from 301 and the gentlmen at the end of the line was it. No other coaches. Disappointing for sure.

It’s funny, when I first read your comment, I thought it said “No other roaches.” My eyes are playing tricks on me.

Possibly... who knows

During the Preds huddle

Carlyle came onto the ice and shook the Preds’ coaching staff, but he didn’t hang around to go through the line.

Too-Tootsie's

Randy Carlyle would have gone through the line if he weren’t too busy checking out some of our world-famous Nashville dives!

That’s a rec!

That's a pretty serious conversation

that Trotz had with Selanne.
Also Rinne got a hug and a couple of chest pounds from the Finnish Flash.

I love how short Trotz is.

I’ve never noticed before. I know that everyone else has skates on but even compared to the other coaches.
Yeah it looked like Selanne was almost poking Rinne in the chest he was patting him that hard. Pretty funny.

Mitch Korn is even shorter.

I’m still loving the fact that on the NHL.com stats League Leaders page, it has photos of Selanne leading in goals and Perry as league leader in assists along with Koivu. But there’s only one mention of a Nashville player on that page.

According to the Sharks' site...

Carlyle shook hands with the coaches then headed to the locker room.

by dnorm4 on Apr 26, 2011 1:44 PM EDT reply actions

yeah I remember Carlyle doing that

They showed a shot of him shaking hands with Trotz and the rest of the Nashville staff before heading into the locker room. Maybe it was just on the Ducks’ feed I was watching…

Wait, I wonder why Getzlaf didn’t lead the line? I mean, good on Corey Perry for stepping up and being a good sport, but still.

Lemme quote the late, great Colonel Sanders. He said "I'm too drunk to taste this chicken."

I had the same thought initially and knew most captains lead the way, but I wasn’t sure it was a definite thing that happened so I didn’t give it a second thought.
