"As I went to cut it off, I think it deflected off of [defenceman Dan Hamhuis's] stick and hit the heel of my stick, hit my heel, and went in,"
Roberto Luongo on the game-tying goal - Globe and Mail
I knew we could count on Hammer to get it done for us!

For the record...
Before Game One my #firstgoal pick was Dan Hamhuis, into his own net. This was the Preds’ first goal of the series… so does that count?

That's awesome!
You gotta believe that as long as Dan Hamhuis is on the ice, we’ve got a chance! LMAO!
I dunno, but I watched that goal a number of times and it didn’t look to me like it hit anyone before it got to Loungo. Maybe he’s throwing Hammer under the bus! :D

agreed. I think that was Luongo’s stick to Lou’s skate, into the net. Not only is he an inferior goalie to Peks, he also has no class and blames others for his gaffes…. Now THAT’S a Vezina nominee to be proud of.

Good thing there wasn’t a ceiling fan over Poile’s head when he jumped up! :D
I almost got scalped that way when Team USA beat Team Canada in the 1996 World Cup of Hockey!

I'm really glad
that our GM loves hockey so much. He’s not just a business man, but a hockey fan too.

Pretty much unrelated, but question:
Anyone else notice that Lindback wasn’t on roster last night? Did anyone explain that?
I just got back from the airport, welcoming the team home, and he was there (in other words he was on the trip…)
He is on the Roster Report
under Stats from Saturday’s game. He also is in pictures from the game out on the ice congratulating Peks after the win. He was dressed in his gear, just with the standard cap instead of goalie mask.
