Saturday's notes: Canucks closing in

VANCOUVER, BC - JUNE 10: The Vancouver Canucks celebrate after defeating the Boston Bruins by a score of 1-0 in Game Five of the 2011 NHL Stanley Cup Final at Rogers Arena on June 10, 2011 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. (Photo by Harry How/Getty Images)

The Vancouver Canucks rallied on home ice to a tough 1-0 victory over Boston in Game 5, setting up a potential Cup-clinching night Monday at Boston. Sure, there was a lot of nonsense in the early going, with floppers like Maxim Lapierre and Alexandre Burrows trying to milk the refs for calls, but in the 3rd period Lapierre was the man on the spot to bang in a rebound goal which proved to be the difference.
