Around SBN: Trent Richardson Interviews Fellow Brown Brandon Weeden

If you were Shea Weber...

...besides being able to grow a legendary beard, which of the following contract options would you choose?  Remember, NHL contracts are guaranteed so players are usually willing to take less money annually in exchange for more years on the contract.  It seems that the range appears to be in the $6.5 Million - $7.5 Million per year range.  So, Preds fans, put on your Weber jersey and choose from one of the following options...

The longer his contract becomes, it better be front loaded … and Suter’s would have to be back loaded & we trade Rinne for offense

Why lock yourself in?

Too much up in the air right now. Take the one year and see what happens.

if it is more than one season....

….. it is going to be more per season, rather than less. 3 years is buying one year of unrestricted free agency.
