Friday's notes: Poile prepared to plead

Today kicks of the arbitration process regarding the NHLPA's grievance over Nashville's qualifying offers, although by this point the situation has been narrowed down to the status of Sergei Kostitsyn, thanks to all the signings yesterday and the trade of Andreas Thurreson. It's unlikely that we'll hear a result today, so I doubt we'll hear much detail on the matter. So to keep us occupied in the meantime, I thought I'd kick off a little discussion for the day:

With Mark Dekanich gone, how do you see the goaltending battle in Milwaukee shaking out? Jeremy Smith got quite a bit of action there down the stretch last season, but Chet Pickard will be motivated to rebound from an awful 2010-11 season. Are you concerned about the Preds' ability to draw upon that depth if needed this season?
