Friday's notes: Who's ready for a big season?

After a long, stress-filled week for Nashville Predators fans, it may be good to turn the page here and start looking ahead to the upcoming season. So in the tradition of kicking off some conversation on a summer Friday, I want to ask you - which Nashville Predator are you most bullish on for 2011-12?

Personally, I'm going with Colin Wilson. He took a step forward last season to become an effective offensive threat, and should be well positioned now to deliver on a consistent basis as he enters his third season of pro hockey. The opportunity is right there waiting for him as a Top 6 winger, and from his side, this is a contract year, so millions of dollars are potentially on the line. Who knows, maybe he disappeared from Twitter because he's off at a clandestine training base, getting bigger, stronger & faster for the upcoming campaign.

A guy can hope, right?

Chime in on who you think is ready for a big season, and follow after the jump for your morning hockey news...

Who'da thunk that the deal which looms large in David Poile's history is the one where he didn't hold on to a defenseman?

And lastly, how about some video as shared on Twitter last night by some guy with the handle @JonBlum7 (yes, he's the real deal):
