Mike Fisher injury looms over training camp; Blue, White & Silver teams announced

The enthusiasm behind the opening of Nashville Predators training camp becomes a little bit muted this afternoon with an update via Josh Cooper that Mike Fisher's shoulder is recovering slowly from his summer surgery, with an uncertain timetable for his return. That appears to be confirmed by the team, as well, given the release of the Blue, White & Silver team rosters for training camp, which include Fisher under an "Injured" heading.

Follow after the jump for a breakdown of the three squads!

Yesterday we published the training camp schedule & roster, so just remember that you'll get your first chance to catch the team in action this weekend, from 10:00 - 2:20 at Centennial Sportsplex.

Just when you start to think:

“Maybe this hellish offseason is finally behind us. Maybe nothing else can go horribly wrong…”

This.

team silver

it’ll be good to have ellis with weber to start. klein and weber could do some hittng if paired together if this wasn’t practice.

betcha smith takes fisher’s spot if fish is still injured. something tells me smith won’t be assigned to the ahl

This kind of sucks, but I can’t see Fish missing too many games. Luckily, new forward talent is looking a bit more promising now.

O'reilly and Smith

looks like team blue is going to have some heated rivalry for the 2nd scoring line center spot. Would have liked to see those 2 go head to head in a scrimmage.

I will bet anyone here...

a dozen donuts, that, if Smith stays up, it will be as a winger first, then maybe a center later. Even if Fish is hurt early on. It’ll be where he’s needed, and it’ll be where we need him.

Fisher hurt?

no other options, poile makes a trade……..for someone we have never hurd of!

I'm glad we traded away a $3.5M contract for a dude who doesn't play for a $4.5M contract for a dude that doesn't play.

Seriously though, note that Weber and Ellis are on the same team.

That’s by DESIGN!

The truth is always the right answer....

Huh?

We made a trade? Did it result in us buying anybody else out?
