According to Renaud Lavoie of RDS, the Nashville Predators placed defenseman Tyler Sloan on waivers today. If no other team claims him (we'll know shortly after 11:00 a.m. Central on Saturday), then the Preds will be able to assign him to the Milwaukee Admirals. Sloan was signed as a free agent by the Predators earlier this summer after Washington bought him out of the final year of his contract.
Be sure to check our list of which Predators are eligible for waivers and which are not, as the team continues to whittle down the roster ahead of Opening Night just a week from now in Columbus.
If Sloan gets assigned to Milwaukee tomorrow, that would leave the Preds with 30 players left in training camp, which includes injured players Francis Bouillon, Mike Fisher, and Roman Josi.
