My wife and I were talking about Suter last night

and our 18 month is a sponge.
THIS is the result

Suter...

Would have to have a heart of pure stone to not call his agent right now (yes even during the game) and get this thing done.

by Daniel Rogers on Jan 10, 2012 11:00 PM EST up reply actions

i know, right?

thats what we thought! btw she also said a top 6 forward would help…

I bet she had a list of options and the pros and cons of each, too?

by LuvthePreds on Jan 10, 2012 11:16 PM EST up reply actions

she has a spreadsheet of potential salaries

and possible trade packages that we could offer that we read every night before we go to bed.

I showed your video to my kids when they got home from school, and we were saying how great it would be to get it on the Megatron, followed by a chant led by 303. We could preview it with a group of fans on the boards during warm-ups with “Please sign” signs.

by LuvthePreds on Jan 10, 2012 11:24 PM EST up reply actions

Word of advice: get her used to lots of noise first, if she’d not already. Maybe watch games at home with the sound turned way up?

by LuvthePreds on Jan 10, 2012 11:38 PM EST up reply actions

thank you so much-

that is actually something we have been worried about

by The Pred that Rides on Jan 10, 2012 11:39 PM EST up reply actions

Play goal horns really loud and have her clap about them, so she thinks they’re fun instead of startling and scary.

by LuvthePreds on Jan 10, 2012 11:40 PM EST up reply actions

I’d have them on hand just in case, but I really think it’s all in the preparation. When my daughter was about the same age as yours, we took her to see Glenn Close’s 101 Dalmations. I knew she’d be scared of GC’s character unless I prepared her, so we read the book several times and I kept saying she was a “silly woman.” My daughter had a nervous laugh at the worst parts, but kept repeating “She’s a silly woman!” almost like a mantra. Then at the end of the movie she stood up and said “I want to see the Dalmatian movie again!”

by LuvthePreds on Jan 10, 2012 11:46 PM EST up reply actions

That's awesome!

I didn’t see that in the earlier thread, do you mind if I put it on the front page tomorrow?

Uh oh!

Do we have an issue with that Ellis fella? If we keep him on the roster for the rest of the year, he’ll use a year on his entry level contract (Dirk discussed this earlier in the week). He’s not giving us any excuses to send him to Milwaukee.

Title of story at nhl.com: " Isles keep up domination of Red Wings."

Is this common knowledge? I had no idea.

by LuvthePreds on Jan 10, 2012 11:31 PM EST reply actions

Islanders have beaten the wings since 2003

by predmama on Jan 10, 2012 11:32 PM EST up reply actions

Whatever magic formula the New York Islanders have for beating the Detroit Red Wings, the rest of the NHL wishes they’d share it.

The Islanders improved to 5-0-1 against the Wings since play resumed after the work stoppage by beating the Wings 5-1 at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Tuesday. New York’s first line of John Tavares, Matt Moulson and Kyle Okposo accounted for four goals — two by Moulson — as the Islanders played perhaps their best game of the season after losing back-to-back weekend games at Anaheim and Phoenix that dropped them into last place in the Eastern Conference.

by LuvthePreds on Jan 10, 2012 11:33 PM EST up reply actions

That is odd. Of all the teams, the lowly Isles own the Wings!

Considering they played only about half the game and said “Ok Peks, you get to preserve the win”.
