Weber will only stay if Suter stays? Weigh in with thoughts

So after reading a tweet from Dave Lozo, writer for nhl.com, Weber reported that he loves Nashville and wants to stay there, IF Nashville continues to improve and keep some people around. Reading further, apparently Nashville wanted to talk contract with Weber but he reportedly stated he wants to wait till the offseason. Now Suter isn't the only one that's going to be a free agent (both restricted and unrestricted) as Wilson, Toots, Kostitsyn, Bouillon, and probably others are set to hit the market. But to me it sounds that Weber wants to keep people around and I assume people is at least Suter. So after many posts from people weighing in on who should we keep between the two I ask, Can we really only keep one?" Thoughts? Sound off below and much love for the Preds in Virginia.

Heres who we have to re-up with this year:

Weber-RFA at 7.5 million
Suter-UFA at 3.5 million
Colin Wilson-RFA at 875,000 with a bonus of 850,000
Toots-UFA at 1.35 million
Lindback-RFA with a cap hit of 875,000 but is making 738,000
SK74-RFA at 2.5 million
Hillen-RFA at 650,000
Cube-RFA at 1.5 million
and now Yip-UFA at 750,000

Not to mention our newbies that will need a contract next year-Borque and Ellis

Sounds like DP is going to be busy from now until next year! I can see Hillen and maybe even Cube out the door. Something we have not looked at is a trade for Lindback. He has to be resigned…….the recent activity from Milwalkee with the G may be saying something there.

Kind of makes you respect the position GMDP is in, doesn't it?

We know the Suter-Weber story.
Colin Wilson – 3 year contract I think at least.
Toots – I think he wants to stay but he’ll get a nice boost.
Lindback – think maybe a one-year or he gets traded at the deadline/off-season.
SK74 – pending performance. Maybe get a pay decrease.
Hillen – meh, dump him.
Cube – think you’d have to let him go to pay for Wilson and Toots’ pay raises.
Yip – who knows.
