Injury update: Ryan Suter in, Francis Bouillion out

The Nashville Predators got some good news today, as NHL.com and Smashville 24/7 are both reporting that Ryan Suter will return to the lineup tonight against Columbus.

From NHL.com:

Predators defenseman Ryan Suter will return to the lineup tonight when his team hosts the Columbus Blue Jackets, securing his ability to play in the 2012 Tim Hortons NHL All-Star Game.

Suter, who ranks third in the League in average time on ice at 26:30, missed the last three games with an upper-body injury, potentially jeopardizing his ability to play in his first All-Star Game. However, that issue seems to have resolved itself.

The Predators went 3-1 without Suter in the lineup, including the game against the Islanders that he left early.

The also news comes at just the right time, because it looks like Francis Bouillon will miss tonight's game. He left Saturday's game against Chicago with an upper-body injury and is currently considered day-to-day.

From Smashville 24/7:

Defenseman Francis Bouillon, who left Saturday's game against Chicago with an upper-body injury, skated this morning after most of the team had left the ice. Trotz, who said Bouillon's injury was "nothing serious" on Saturday, said the veteran defenseman is "day-to-day."

"It feels good, but it sucks that I'm going to be out tonight," [Bouillon] said. "It's never fun when you're not playing, but I feel good skating."

Expect Suter to slide into Bouillon's spot on the top pairing alongside Weber, with Josi and Klein playing together on the second pairing, and Hillen and Ellis rounding out the defensive corps.

Dirk’s out sick today, so no Notes today, but he will be back with a vengeance with tonight’s recap.
Enjoy the game, y’all. These are the ones they’ve gotta win.

Dirk left OTF with an upper-body injury. His wife declined to elaborate but said he is day-to-day. He created the Jackets preview earlier today and got out on the boards to comment once, but re-aggravated his, ahem… “upper-body” and will most likely miss tonights GDT.
Hoag said, “It feels good, but it sucks that I’m going to be out tonight. It’s never fun when you’re not posting, but I feel good watching.”
Expect Torrence to slide up in his spot and take over thread management duties.

Good thing

he wasn’t pulled mid-blog. There would be rumours of him heading out to Calgary.

Pretty nice

One of the newer faculty here got married 11/11/11, right around the time I move to Augusta.
Talk about a guy who’ll get skewered if he forgets his anniversary……

Enjoy the game.

If you see Pekka Pontiff, tell him that Karlsson kid he wrote off (at age 20) is turning out okay.

I have 3 tickets to tonights game I am trying to unload cheap - $30 for all 3

They are Sec 320, Row B – 3 together. I apologize if this post breaks protocol or site rules (I looked real quick and didnt see anything). If so, I hope I will be forgiven b/c I am not trying to make a dime. I bought them as part of the Day of Game 100 tickets this morning , not realizing I had a conflict. I would rather sell them to a Preds fan for what I paid than make a profit selling to a scalper. You would have to be able to meet me at Amerigo on West End in the next hour (by 6:45 or so). Please call me at 668-9696 if you are interested.
