That is the best goal celebration in history.

I’mma let you finish, but Ovie had the best goal celebration.

Ovie’s was all ego. Kuznetzov’s was all childhood wishes.
R.I.P. Belak, Rypien, Boogaard, Lokomotiv.

Not saying that I liked Ovie’s better. Just trying to think of another one that got a lot of press.

yeah, i'm watching it
it seems pretty back and forth right now trading chances. that is good for us
Meanwhile in Calgary
The Sharks and Flames are making a run at setting the world record for most boring hockey game ever.
I thought you all should know.

Mediocre?
They’d pee their pants for two of our d-men or our goalie

I’d venture a guess that we have a rookie or two who may end up in the HOF a couple of decades from now. Guna be fun to watch!

Yeah, pretty mediocre players on this team. Suter, Weber, Rinne, Fish, Horndog, etc.. This team is full of scrubs. As long as everyone keeps thinking this they will feel better when we beat them.
by jerseypredsfan on Jan 24, 2012 10:18 PM EST up reply actions
Actually now that i think about it
It should make them feel worse when we beat them

Over on the HFBoards
there’s a thread titled “The Myth about the Predators lack of Scoring” or something like that and several Chicago posters chimed in how we’ll never be a playoff threat with the mediocre forwards we have. Believe it or not, several Leaf fans defended us and reminded them that the Preds spanked that @ss Saturday night with those same mediocre forwards. Canadian fans backing the sunbelt “should have never got a team” club. Made me smile
by TitanPredBearFan on Jan 24, 2012 10:25 PM EST up reply actions

was a good read indeed. lots nashvile haters for sure but more suprisingly was the supporters… was awesome

In a game that was scoreless for 50 minutes. But that was probably the best game I’ve ever seen in the NHL.
And I can think of a lot of games that I had a huge amount of fun at that my team came close to losing. So if they had been losses I might have enjoyed them anyway.
Still I’m rarely entertained by my teams playing badly.

by Old Kentucky Shark on Jan 24, 2012 11:14 PM EST reply actions
stuff from their third-period thread:
1) Funny thing is Nashville could be the best team in the Conference if they added a primetime scorer
2) (reply to the Hossa for Rinne discussion): Such deal would never present itself …but if it did then hell yes I trade a 33 year old Hossa for Rinne. I love Hossa. He is a top 10 player in the NHL. The best two way player in the game. But if I could net Rinne??? Hell yes I make that move, Rinne is on the cusp of Dominik Hasek goodness for a long time.
if division champs weren't placed in the top three
the central division would rank 1-4 in the conferance at this particular moment in time
of course i'm not including the Cbjs as part of the division
by Herzausstein on Jan 24, 2012 11:22 PM EST up reply actions
No, the Central Division would have those 4 spots. Doesn’t mean that all of the Central Division has to be there for that to be a factually correct statement.

Just read that Hartnell got a hattie but his team still lost. That’s gotta take the fun out of it.
Glad he gets to go to the ASG, though not glad Toews is hurt.
Though it didn’t hurt tonight that Toews is hurt.
Yeah.
Never wanna see anyone hurt (except for Kane to get all his teeth knocked out), but Toews… good not to see him tonight.

I have to say it: I rather have Kane than Perry on this team.

BTW, was listening to NHL Home Ice before class (and the game)
And Eberle came up as “somebody Edmonton should trade” and the Power Play guys were not buying it and asking “who’d want him?” He’s oft injured, inconsistent, etc."
Then, they said that they saw mentions online about Nashville might want to trade Ryan Ellis for him. And they were both aghast, laughing: “Like Nashville would trade a player like Ellis for a rental!”
It was pretty amusing to me, since I get tired of these dumb trades to dump people’s mediocre injured players on us.

I tell you what...
I’m getting SO TIRED of hearing about all this trading crap. I really just want to get it over with – whether or not anything happens, I almost don’t even care anymore. Just finish it.

Hey y'all Lebda scored tonight for CBJ
They really have nothing better.

you know your team sucks when Lebda is the goal scorer

Hahaha, I LOVE this:
or don’t let them cut their hair if they made a bad mistake during the last game. it’ll be pretty easy to figure out who stays and who goes at the end of the year.

Someone tweeted "Pekka is now 19-2-0 in his last 22 starts. (Yes, he had a no-decision.) What is that? Isn’t someone always credited with the loss, even when they’re pulled? I thought it was the one who allowed the winning goal…
I have no idea.
I bet CAustin knows though!

If that is a penalty, I should’ve gotten two minutes today when I bumped into that guy at the bank.
