NHL PLAYERS POLL
Which goalie could drop the pads and skate a shift if needed?
Mike Smith, Coyotes….19%
Martin Brodeur, Devils….17%
Pekka Rinne, Predators….9%
Carey Price, Canadiens….8%
Ray Emery, Blackhawks….5%
This comes from the upcoming issue of Sports Illustrated. What do you think, could the 6'5" Finn get out there and hustle around the ice? I know that in their own mind, pretty much every goalie thinks they could be a sniper.

So…nobody thought Marty Turco should come down from the NHL Network box?

he's had an incredible year

I think the reason for that is they have Halak
He is a starting goaltender in most cases, and they can rest each him and Elliot, keeping both fresh.

we know from Pekka not getting in last year that having an incredible year means sh*t when it comes to being chosen for the all star game

I’m not at all surprised to see Mike Smith at #1. He’s very, very good with the puck (learned it from Turco).
R.I.P. Belak, Rypien, Boogaard, Lokomotiv.

C’mon, Cam Ward has the only goalie goal so far this season! ;)
Defense keeps you in games........offense wins them!
