Nashville Predators Practice Photos - January 30, 2012

Great stuff here, so I'm promoting this to the front page. - Dirk

Went to the practice today in hopes of getting some good shots. I was able to shoot from the empty team bench ad was really happy with what I got and wanted to share them with other Preds fans. Most interesting was what appeared to be McGrattan getting up in Linback's face. Not sure what that was all about. Also noticed that Weber was absent from the practice (Dirk: Weber, Suter & Smith all are travelling directly to Minnesota from the All-Star Game in Ottawa). Hope you enjoy and thanks for checking them out.

That McGrattan Lindback series needs some comment. Anybody else at the practice now what was going on>

I heard Ern was upset b/c Lindy was trash talking about their MW3 game earlier in the day.

Lindy thought maybe he had a gummy bear stuck in his mask. McGrattan was checking for him.

SK74 looks like an evil elf.

Great pic of him and of Toots.

Erik....

How would a guy get in touch with you to see if he could obtain one of these images?

Anyone know what the deal is with the different colored practice jerseys? I figure there has to be a reason behind it, other than “My favorite color is green!”.

They visually separate the various forward lines, and the D usually wear navy. Green usually goes to the 4th line and scratches, so you may have 4 or 5 guys in that color.

Thanks!

I figured it was something along those lines, but hadn’t been able to figure it out.

Can you give me details on the practices? Planning on trying to go by later this month and was just wondering how long they usually last mainly.

The Preds show their open practice schedule on the website (under the Schedule menu).

They usually last 60-90 minutes or so. Keep an eye out on Twitter or check that site if you can, as sometimes they are cancelled or moved to Bridgestone (where they’re not public) on short notice.
