Anders Lindback to be assigned to Milwaukee, Jeremy Smith recalled

The Nashville Predators are shuffling their goalies around a bit, as Jim Diamond at the Examiner breaks news that the Preds are sending backup goaltender Anders "The Giant" Lindback to Milwaukee tomorrow, to be replaced temporarily in Nashville by Jeremy Smith:

Smith is expected to officially be recalled from the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League Friday with Lindback being reassigned to the Predators top developmental affiliate in order to get in some game action.

call me crazy but i think this is a good idea. i’d rather see him get some practice in instead of possibly losing games for us. plus i heard smith is pretty good

Isn't it obvious?

We are showcasing Lindback for a trade. This is probably the only reason he is being sent down. Apparently Steve Yzerman was in Minny tonight scouting goaltending and it’s awfully convienient to Milwaukee from St Paul. I have a feeling this is very temporary, probably just a tryout of sorts.
