Let them know you are against any sort of stoppage in the NHL next year!

Let your voice be heard! Carry signs! Write letters! We, the hockey fans, want a full season of hockey next year! We won't settle for less! To the players: We pay so you get paid to play! You hear us! You get PAID to PLAY HOCKEY! To the owners: Without us, there is no you! You earn money by making us happy! We will be very upset with you if there isn't a full season of hockey!

Don't make us jump ship! We are THIS CLOSE to becoming full-time Curling fans!

You know what would really work?

Fans would need to hold off renewing season tickets for the 2011-2012 season until a CBA is done. Don’t let the owners hold on to your money, because first of all you don’t know if you’re going to get a full season of hockey, but more importantly, that cash gives the owners tons of leverage.

I think the idea of a fan-driven protest to get both sides to the table is interesting, but it won’t have any impact unless actual money gets withheld.

That's what I did with my Titan season tickets...

…I refused to send them a dime until I knew there was going to be football. What are they gonna do? Hard to sell tickets to nothing! I do think if enough people did that, they would def fill the pinch.

That would be an incredible feat. With the waiting lists for season tickets in Canadian cities I’m sure there would be plenty of scabs happy to cross that line. The came could apply to several American teams. It would be something else and would likely guarantee quick and fan-positive negotiations.

I would hold off renewing my season tickets for next year, if only I didn’t like my seats, my Predators and hockey, in general, soooooo much.
Just kidding… I LOVE ALL OF THAT STUFF!
Actually, I’ve already committed to a 2/20 plan. Other than that, I like your idea.

I just hope Bettman puts as much energy in working with the NHLPA as he did in his publicity campaign during last lockout. Fehr has let it be known with rejecting the realignment plan that he won’t role over for Bettman like the owners have.

Defense keeps you in games........offense wins them!

FEHR IS AN ARS

i dont know if it will affect games but i would bet come september there is at least a delay in opening camps.

Lockout?

Could this league survive another lockout? It’s hard to imagine another lockout so soon after the previous one without a bunch of people just saying “eff this”.

i think that really is the big question…

Excellent article on this issue over at Spector’s Hockey in the Soapbox section. There’s more going on with why Fehr rejected realignment than what meets the eye.
