Back on October 4, Gary Bettman announced that the league was cancelling the first two weeks of the season, so the time has come to swing the scythe yet again.
After this week's up-and-down cycle of CBA negotiations, the league has today cancelled the schedule through November 1st, and while it's never good news to hear about scratched games, there is still the faint hope that hockey could pick up on November 2nd with an 82-game schedule, as the league proposed on Tuesday.
The clock is ticking rapidly, however, to get such a deal worked out.
For the Nashville Predators, this means another 3 games lost, all on the road (at Phoenix, Colorado and San Jose).
