Havoc in Huntsville

Many Nashville Predators fans dying to see some professional hockey have mentioned going to Huntsville, Alabama, where the SPHL's Huntsville Havoc represent the nearest option in light of the NHL Lockout. Full-scale brawls between players and sticks being thrown doesn't look much like modern pro hockey, however...

The video below, as found at Deadspin, shows how these teams do their best to set the game of hockey back by 30 years or so:


I don't know what would possess a guy to enter the other team's bench (even if he's engaged with an opponent), there's just so much wrong all over the place, it's hard to know where to start.

Naturally, the team's Twitter account is trumpeting fan reaction celebrating this as basically the greatest game ever. A minor league team is under pressure to generate any attention to build business, but I'm sorry, that's just a circus.
