Friday's notes: At long last, a Gomez goal
Today's hockey notes start off with the end of one of the most mind-boggling goalless droughts in recent memory. Scott Gomez, who's making $7.5 million this season for the Montreal Canadiens, finally scored last night after going more than a year without lighting the lamp!

Schlub?
He scored more than any of the Preds did last season. I’d probably take him.

I’m really bad at figuring out which players are worth more than themselves (i.e., 1:2 ratio or whatever), but that’s okay. You could send them Geoffrion (even though I highly doubt we’d do it, they want the Whole Collection), Cube (he speaks French and is basically from Quebec – WOOO!), and Smithson (he’s a good defensive player, and he could help with their goal differential)?
