Nashville Predators place Patric Hornqvist on Injured Reserve
Lost in all the discussion around today's Blake Geoffrion/Hal Gill trade is another roster transaction made by the Nashville Predators.
Winger Patric Hornqvist has been placed on Injured Reserve, after getting worked over pretty roughly in Saturday's game at Boston. He hasn't played since, and it had already been announced that he wouldn't play tonight or Sunday at Dallas, so this isn't a complete surprise.
The move will put the Preds at 22 members of the Active Roster (23 is the max), once Hal Gill is added. Hornqvist and Brian McGrattan are now on IR.

speculation?
or is this confirmed? i remember a wicked cross-check like move to his mid section. i was thinking maybe ribs. however, he did play the rest of that game in Boston so i’m not sure.

If you have any evidence to support such a claim, we’d be glad to see it. Otherwise, please don’t share stuff like this. It doesn’t help anyone.

silly me
I forgot speculation and opinions have no place on a forum that has stories about possible trade targets daily. Help anyone? What does that mean? Is this Wikipedia? It’s something I’ve heard, it’s something Preds fans should think about, but apparently without some sort of citation it doesn’t belong here. Guess 95% of the posts on here fall into the same boat.
I think it was more your wording.
If you had said, “I bet it’s a concussion,” it would have been fine. As it is, it sounds declarative – it sounds like you’re claiming it’s true.

Context, please
When you’re talking about injury stuff like this, yeah, it helps to provide more background than just saying “concussion”. What are we supposed to make of a comment like that? As davisca says, we don’t know whether you’re saying that it is a concussion, that you’re guessing it’s a concussion, or anything else.
Without “trade target” posts, those are clearly labeled as speculation.

Forwards
How many healthy forwards does that leave us with? Call up likely?

we've been healthy scratching 2 a night
but this either means a call up or trade… i say this because we normally wait longer before placing them on IR

I would hope we wouldn't trade Hornqvist
away because he’s our only player that really presents teams problems in front of the net… unless… Nash?
think we either cleared space for a trade or callup
how many games did we wait to put McCheese on IR or anyone else for that matter ?
