I'm a Blues season ticket holder and I recently made the trip down from St Louis for the game on the 23rd and I've gotta say this was probably one of the best experiences I've ever had at a hockey game before (which is a big deal because I've been to five or six hundred games) I just turned 21 and made the trip down as a b-day present to myself. I've only been to 2 road games before and my first was to Chicago and I was expecting plenty of heckling and harassment because I know thats how division rivalry games go and I dish it out in St Louis to some degree so I knew I had to take it. In Nashville it was a totally different story.
Before I even got inside I had people stopping me outside the arena and asking me if I was from St Louis and asked how my drive was and really brought a whole new meaning to southern hospitality. Even throughout the game I had no heckling when I was up cheering after a Blues goal or something like that. I was really impressed with the crowd and how nice everyone was.
I know I only have limited knowledge since I've only personally been to 3 different arenas but I'm pretty convinced that Preds fans could be some of the nicest in the NHL. Just wanted to say thanks for making my trip a nice one... the win helped too =)
With all that being said, if the Blues hang on to the division lead (which we will probably lose again in the next few hours... thanks Columbus) and you guys hang in that 4-5 matchup and play Detroit, please kick the crap out of them. If we have to play you guys in the first round... I'm still worried and I don't want to do that, especially after yesterday and how much stronger you guys got. Good luck the rest of the way and congrats on having some of the nicer fans in the league!
