Actually I was looking at the Tampa calendar. The Preds aren’t in Anaheim until March. But he’ll be dressing that night.

They didn't get rid of the rule, per say

Trotzy hasn’t been shuffling nearly as much this season as in season’s past. Mostly he mixes it up when we are down or when one of the 3rd or 4th liners is having a great game.

which makes sense why he wouldn’t shuffle it up
I found it interesting that Trotz said that he was playing Craig Smith less minutes in the first of the season so that he would be able to manage the 80 game season. I think Trotz is a lot smarter than most people give him credit for.
I had a little piece of dirt on my screen and thought it was the puck… I was wondering why nobody was skating towards it

There are conflicting reports on how long he’ll be out. He gave an interview where he said two games to 6 weeks but probably 2 weeks.

The Detroit Red Wings are really good at hockey to the point where things have gotten out of hand. Every year is the year we expect them to finally have their age catch up with them and it never ends up happening. Rather, they just dominate and win and wow you with their general excellence. Is this leading to complacency in the dressing room? Probably not, but they didn’t feel the urge to practice ahead of their game against the Edmonton Oilers.
