He takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.

In a week which saw the spotlight turn toward Alexander Radulov and his remarkable return, it's Nashville's leading goal-scorer who has perhaps had the hottest hand of late. Patric Hornqvist's determination to drive pucks on net has been rewarded, with 16 goals over his last 31 games dating to January 7.

Hornqvist will be one of the most pivotal figures in this year's playoff run for the Predators. Not only will they need his presence in front of the net screening goalies, tipping shots and going after rebounds, but all eyes will be on the officials, to see how much liberty they give opposing defensemen when trying to clear Hornqvist out of the way. Even if he doesn't score, if he can create power play opportunities, that could prove critical to a Nashville team which relies heavily on special teams to carry the day.

Note, for example, the shot he takes here while scoring against the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday...
