One of my favorite annual events is coming in just a few weeks, and if you're involved or interested in using various online outlets (blogs, podcasts, forums, websites, etc.) in the course of your hobby or business, then Podcamp Nashville is where you need to be on Saturday, April 14th. Block out the day, and come down to Cadillac Ranch downtown for an "un-conference", a FREE day of learning, sharing, and networking with the best & brightest of Nashville's online community.
Or, in their words...
PodCamp is the ultimate symposium for anyone - novice and expert - interested in online media to share ideas, hear from industry leaders, and participate in discussions and demonstrations. It's a forum for bloggers, marketers, content creators, educators, podcasters and the like to gather, network and learn about the latest trends, tricks and technologies in the interactive world - ultimately making them the superlative gurus in online communications.
It's a seriously invigorating and inspiring event, and the casual atmosphere means you can easily move from one session to another as you wish. The side conversations with people you meet in the open spaces and hallways are often as valuable as the informational sessions, too. Bring your notebook, a bunch of business cards, and an open mind. Whether you can stay for the whole day or just a couple hours, I can't recommend this event highly enough!
Last year, James Gralian stopped by to take in the scene while making a cross-country road trip, and I also hung out with AJ and Buddy Oakes for a good while as well. Will I see you this year at Podcamp Nashville?
