Make sure to check out the video highlights, which unfortunately don't provide a look at the injury suffered by Patric Hornqvist in the third period:
You know which play stands out to me? Go the 2:58 mark of the video, which puts us early in overtime. Roman Josi carries the puck out of the Nashville end and leads a tremendous rush. He gets Corey Perry backpedaling towards center ice, so cuts wide for a backhand shot, and corrals his own rebound before cruising behind the net. From there, he lays a soft pass into the slot for Legwand (who misfires) and is already heading back into defensive position as that shot goes wide.
There's just so much to love about a play like that. The skating ability to force opponents to react, the ability to recognize opportunities when they present themselves, the soft hands to handle the puck and dish it off to a teammate... there are many, many good things to look forward to with Roman Josi on the blueline.
Sure, last night's result was a bit of a stinker, but I'd take heart from plays like that.
