Just thought I'd check to see if I am the only OTF reader and/or Nashville resident present at tonight's game.

Pretty neat experience. Not totally up on the AHL, so can't comment on some of the players but the game is certainly being played at an All-Star game pace. It's clearly for the fans (as it should be).

Couple notes of interest:

Victor Bartley looks good. Smooth skater, big body with speed. Caution: an NHL scout I am not. Fun to have a rooting interest even if its a single Predator.

Hockey fans are hockey fans. Fun to see/hear the Providence Bruins fans cheer for their guys and the casual hockey convos around me indicate they have a good fan base. That coupled with some Admiral blogs indicates the AHL is a well supported league.

Best name- Mikal Jordan (pronounced mee-kel shore-dan- in your best French accent)

Tickets are expensive. "Lower bowl" $45. Upper $35. Beers $8 and small. Makes me realize, as a Preds season ticket holder, we have reasonable prices.

Makes me miss the days when I was a kid and loved the Nashville Knights or in college and would go to Knoxville Icebears game.

Glad I came.
