Vote! The OTF Play of the Week, October 13-19

Richard Wolowicz

I have a sneaking suspicion this poll will include a runaway winner...

The Nashville Predators went 2-0-1 during the week of October 13-19, by beating the Florida Panthers, dropping a shootout loss to the Los Angeles Kings, and beating the Montreal Canadiens on the road last night. Out of those three games, which plays made the biggest impact? Let's consider a few of the favorites, and vote in the poll below...

Tuesday: Mike Fisher Scores Against Florida

You've got to watch out for those guys coming off the bench, they often slip into prime scoring position undetected. That's exactly what Mike Fisher did Tuesday night, taking a nice feed from Craig Smith and scoring on the backhand to give Nashville a 2-1 lead:

Tuesday: Pekka Rinne Save on Tomas Fleischmann

The Predators led 4-2 midway through the 3rd period, and Pekka Rinne helped keep the Panthers down by making a key save after a turnover near the Nashville blueline:

Thursday: Matt Cullen's 1st Goal for Nashville

The line of Craig Smith/Matt Cullen/Gabriel Bourque has been creating some quality scoring chances recently, and they cashed in midway through the 1st period against Los Angeles for Cullen's first goal as a Predator:

Thursday: Pekka Rinne Stops Mike Richards' Breakaway Chance

With the Kings and Predators tied in the 3rd period Thursday night, L.A. center Mike Richards sprung loose for a breakaway, but Peks held his ground:

Saturday: Gabriel Bourque Hit on Josh Gorges

Gabby's been off to a bit of a slow start for the Preds, but he looks like he doesn't plan on being scratched again, given this hit he puts on Montreal defenseman Josh Gorges:

Saturday: Seth Jones Steals the Spotlight

Go ahead, watch this over and over, I won't blame you one bit:

So what's your take on the week that was just completed in Nashville Predators hockey? 5 out of 6 points isn't a bad result at all...
