Following yesterday's move to put Paul Gaustad on Injured Reserve, the Nashville Predators have called up winger Taylor Beck from the Milwaukee Admirals in time for tonight's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets. For Beck, this could mean he'll make his NHL debut after having been drafted in the 3rd round of the 2009 Draft. He leads the Milwaukee Admirals with 11 goals and 30 assists in this, his second full professional season.
This just arrived from the Preds:
Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Taylor Beck from Milwaukee (AHL) and placed forward Paul Gaustad on Injured Reserve.
Beck, 21 (5/13/91), leads the Admirals in points (11g-30a-41pts) and power-play points (3g-9a-12pts) in 50 games this season, his second full professional campaign. Yet to appear in an NHL contest, the 6-2, 208-pound right wing ranked among the AHL's Top 20 rookies in both points and goals in 2011-12. Nashville's fourth choice, 70th overall (third round), in the 2009 Entry Draft finished both the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons ranked among the Ontario Hockey League's Top 10 in points and goals with the Guelph Storm.
