Another Milwaukee Admiral will make his NHL debut tonight as Kevin Henderson has been called up for tonight's game at Chicago, along with forward Daniel Bang, who was sent down earlier this week to help out with the Ads' playoff push.
Bang hasn't made a huge impact in his four Preds games so far, but his skating and size on the wing give reason to hope that he might prove to be a depth contributor down the road. In the meantime, I'm sure those guys don't mind getting a few days of NHL pay.
This just arrived from the Preds:
Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forwards Daniel Bång and Kevin Henderson from Milwaukee (AHL) under emergency conditions. Bång will wear No. 50 for the Predators, while Henderson is expected to make his NHL debut wearing No. 46.
Bång, 25 (4/19/87), has played in Nashville's last four games - his first four NHL contests - recording two points (2a). The Kista, Sweden native has 21 points (8g-13a) in 51 games for the Admirals during his first North American season. Prior to signing with the Predators last summer, the 6-3, 201-pound power forward spent six seasons with AIK's senior team, posting 121 points (60g-61a) in 258 games.
Henderson, 26 (12/3/86), has 27 points (16g-11a) in 65 games during his second season with the Admirals, and 74 points (30g-44a) in 232 AHL games with Milwaukee and Worchester since 2009. The 6-3, 210-pound Toronto native helped the University of New Brunswick win the 2009 CIS National Championship and was teammates with current Predators Nick Spaling (2005-07) and Matt Halischuk (2006-07) with the Kitchener Rangers.
